The Focus
The practice was built out of the desire to help others. From a young age, I knew I wanted to do something that helped other people but wasn't really sure what exactly. I have always been fascinated with what makes us human and how our experiences and relationships impact us. I started out as a solo private practice owner in 2012 and quickly realized there was an incredible community need for support, and more than I was able to give alone. I knew I wanted to transform the practice at some point into a group practice that could support a larger portion of the community, but life happened and I also needed to feel grounded in running a business before I went on to hire others. Luckily, I've always had an interest in teaching and supporting emerging clinicians. When I was ready in 2020 to move into group private practice, I was again amazed at how quickly the clinician I hired had all the clients they could handle and so, I needed to make the call on whether to hire more clinicians or stay small. We've grown from there and I have to say, I'm pretty amazed at how far we've come.
