Brianna Nimphius, MHC, Limited Pemit
I'm passionate about fostering a warm and welcoming environment grounded in empathy, authenticity, and acceptance. I have a special affinity for helping adults, emerging adults, and late adolescents navigate a diversity of life’s challenges, including anxiety, relationship dynamics, complex trauma, depression, and interpersonal issues. I believe in health at every size, I'm sex-
positive, and an ally to the LGBTQAI+, ethically non-monogamous, and social justice communities.
My therapeutic style reflects my relational philosophy by offering clients support through creative approaches such as mindfulness, meditation, somatic connection, embodiment, art, play, and journaling. I hold a master’s degree in mental health counseling from SUNY New Paltz where I conducted a portion of her clinical training at a partial hospitalization program for adults with mental health challenges. There I utilized theoretical approaches from DBT which holds a focus on mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation. I completed additional clinical training in a private practice setting, honing my therapeutic style, which emphasizes the power and indispensability of playfulness, humor, gratitude, and connection. My decade-long professional experience in yoga instruction and recreational therapy influences my multi-disciplinary approach to psychotherapy.
I'm currently offering sessions via telehealth and in-person. I love the outdoors, yoga, acrobatics, watercolor, tea, and animals!
