Megan Mooney-MHC Graduate Intern
I am a compassionate mental health counseling intern from SUNY New Paltz dedicated to fostering an accepting, empowering, and empathetic counseling environment where clients can feel supported. I hold a bachelors degree in Psychology and have experience working with children, adolescents, emerging adults and parents in community-based mental health settings.
My counseling style is warm, curious and collaborative. I use a person centered and strengths based approach and tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs and interests. I incorporate elements of mindfulness and creativity into my practice. I am passionate about supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relational challenges.
Outside of the counseling space, I enjoy hiking, reading, spending time in nature, and creating art all of which help me bring balance and creativity to my work with clients. Availability: In person and virtual
